Actually... I can see exactly how it fits into the theme.

She's not telling you everything. She goes places nights, and won't tell you where. You're hurt, because you don't understand.

Then, in comes a wake-up call. Suddenly, you see things in a new light.

You'd have to spend enough time just adjusting to this new world you see. It's enough that you can see monsters, and she's one of them.

Can you say anything? Did it really change anything? And, can you tell the other people who can see like you can see? You don't know them, but you certainly know her.

I think it's very much in keeping with the Hunter theme. Of course, that's more than "My lover is a werewolf, and she helps me hunt vampires..."

Execution is everything.

:
: : stories have often included hunters and supernatural beings interacting on a personal level. what are the issues with this? what are the concerns? what should you think about when writing your characters? how much is too much knowledge?

: OK - leaving aside my personal feelings about how this relates to the Hunter theme...

: I've already mentioned that the pair are going to have real issues when it comes to dealing with each other's friends, allies, and compatriots. The friend of their friend is (more likely than not) NOT their friend. Joint missions are probably also out, unless it's the pair by themselves, as neither's allies would be that trusting. Both sides would have to put up with a *lot* of guff from their allies, and possibly even being used to lure the other in to an ambush.

: Rules-wise : both sides should forget *ever* acquiring enough info to earn (even a single dot of) Culture Lore. Likewise, except in the *deepest and longest* of relationships, forget knowing the truth about the other sides' vulnerabilities. The relationship cannot have existed *prior* to the Hunter's Imbuing. No Monster friend can *ever* visit/post to Hunter-Net. Neither is likely to guide the other to or through their power centers except in the *direst* of circumstances. (No Hunters visiting Caerns, Nodes, Chantries... on friendly terms.)

: *IMO*
: Honestly, I don't think it should ever come up - certainly not to the point of being an issue. Not because of the reasons I've mentioned elsewhere, but because the deep relationships take *time* (months, years) to develop. Time that neither the relationship, nor the Hunter himself, is ever likely to be given.
